History of BERIKIDS
BERIKIDS is a Non-Governmental Organization that implements the founding principals of Madame Ndze Relindis Berinyuy, who believes that treating and rehabilitating the most vulnerable in our society is the most effective way to affect social change. We work specifically with the mentally disabled, orphans, single mothers and vulnerable children. Being a light to the community is the philosophy that brought the BERIKIDS to life. We believe in helping the underprivileged and giving them a second chance.
BERIKIDS provides free membership and service costs to those who share in Madame Ndze Berinyuy's philosophy. We provide vocational training to orphans and vulnerable children to ensure they are self-reliant when they leave our care. In addition, they receive sufficient monetary support and structured training services from the members and mentors of our various departments.
Presently, the center runs a tailoring workshop, a computer training center, a carpentry workshop, an agricultural complex and a psychiatric center with a psychiatrist who takes care of youth affected by drug abuse (marijuana, alcohol, etc), and people with various mental disorders.
